Course Disclaimer

1. Health, Stability, and Readiness

I confirm that I am physically, emotionally, and mentally able to undertake the DELTA Module Three Preparation Course. I understand that the course requires sustained independent study, research, academic reading, writing, reflection, and regular engagement with tutor feedback.

I also confirm that I am living and working in a stable environment that allows me to attend sessions, meet deadlines, complete drafts, and prepare my assignment effectively.

2. Nature of the Course

I understand that this is a DELTA Module Three preparation course, not a general English language course and not a basic teacher-training course.

I understand that DELTA Module Three is based on the production of an extended written assignment. The course is designed to guide me through the process of selecting an appropriate focus, researching relevant literature, analysing context and learner needs, designing or evaluating a course or programme, and producing a final assignment that meets the required academic and professional standards.

I understand that successful completion of the preparation course does not guarantee a pass in the official Cambridge DELTA Module Three assessment.

3. Course Focus and Candidate Responsibility

I understand that I am responsible for selecting and developing an appropriate Module Three focus, specialism, context, and assignment direction, with guidance from my tutor.

I understand that my work must be relevant, coherent, research-informed, and clearly linked to the selected context and learners or educational setting.

I also understand that tutor guidance is intended to support my development, but the final assignment, argument, content, academic decisions, and submission remain my responsibility.

4. Workload and Commitment

I understand that DELTA Module Three requires a high level of commitment. I will be expected to complete independent reading, research, needs analysis, data collection where relevant, drafting, redrafting, referencing, and assignment preparation outside live course sessions.

I understand that attendance alone is not sufficient. My progress will depend on the quality of my independent work, my ability to meet deadlines, and my willingness to respond constructively to feedback.

5. Attendance and Engagement

I understand that regular attendance is essential. I agree to attend all scheduled sessions punctually and to notify Britishey Training Centre in advance if I am unable to attend.

I understand that missed sessions, late submission of drafts, limited communication, or poor engagement may negatively affect my ability to complete the assignment successfully.

Britishey Training Centre will not be responsible for any delay, underperformance, or failure resulting from absence, lack of preparation, missed deadlines, or insufficient engagement.

6. Academic Level and Entry Expectations

I understand that DELTA Module Three is an advanced professional qualification for experienced English language teachers or ELT professionals.

I confirm that I have sufficient English language proficiency, teaching knowledge, professional experience, and academic writing ability to cope with the demands of the course.

I understand that I may need to develop my academic reading, critical thinking, referencing, assignment organisation, and written accuracy during the course.

7. Independent Research and Reading

I understand that DELTA Module Three requires substantial independent research. Tutors may recommend sources, guide reading, and provide advice, but I am responsible for engaging critically with relevant literature and using it appropriately in my assignment.

I understand that my assignment must show evidence of reading, analysis, application to context, and professional judgement.

8. Drafts, Feedback, and Tutor Support

I understand that the course may include submission of outlines, sections, drafts, or full drafts for tutor feedback, according to the course schedule and Britishey Training Centre’s internal procedures.

I understand that tutor feedback is developmental and does not guarantee that the final assignment will pass.

I agree to submit drafts by the agreed deadlines. I understand that late drafts may receive limited feedback or may not be reviewed, depending on tutor availability and submission timelines.

9. External Assessment and Submission

I understand that DELTA Module Three is externally assessed by Cambridge English.

I understand that registration for the official DELTA Module Three submission is separate from attendance on the preparation course unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing.

I understand that assessment deadlines, submission requirements, candidate identification, formatting rules, word-count requirements, result-release dates, and certification procedures are subject to Cambridge English regulations and/or the authorised centre’s policies.

10. Academic Integrity and Plagiarism

I understand that all work submitted during the course and for final assessment must be my own.

I understand that plagiarism, copying, collusion, fabricated data, false references, unacknowledged sources, or submitting work produced by another person or tool as my own may be treated as academic malpractice.

I understand that academic dishonesty may result in removal from the course without refund and may also be reported to the relevant awarding or assessment body.

11. Use of Generative AI

Britishey Training Centre recognises that generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, and similar platforms may support learning when used appropriately.

Acceptable use may include:

  • generating initial ideas for reading or research;
  • clarifying terminology or concepts;
  • suggesting possible areas for further reading;
  • helping organise study schedules;
  • checking general understanding of academic or ELT concepts.

Unacceptable use includes:

  • submitting AI-generated assignment content as my own;
  • using AI to write substantial parts of the assignment;
  • using AI to generate fake references, fabricated data, or unsupported claims;
  • relying on AI instead of engaging with academic sources and professional reflection;
  • hiding or failing to acknowledge AI use where acknowledgement is required.

I understand that AI-generated content may be inaccurate, superficial, fabricated, or unsuitable for DELTA Module Three standards. I remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, referencing, academic integrity, and quality of my final work.

12. Referencing and Academic Presentation

I understand that DELTA Module Three requires accurate referencing and appropriate academic presentation.

I agree to acknowledge all sources used, including books, articles, websites, course materials, unpublished documents, and any permitted AI-assisted work where relevant.

I understand that weak referencing, poor academic presentation, excessive description, lack of critical analysis, or insufficient connection between theory and context may negatively affect the quality of my assignment.

13. Professional Conduct

I agree to maintain a professional and respectful attitude towards tutors, peers, administrative staff, and Britishey Training Centre representatives.

I understand that disrespectful communication, disruptive behaviour, repeated failure to prepare, or lack of professional engagement may result in removal from the course.

14. Digital Competence

I confirm that I have sufficient digital skills and access to the necessary technology to attend online sessions, access course materials, submit drafts, communicate with tutors, and participate fully in the course.

This includes having a reliable internet connection, a suitable device, and the ability to use platforms specified by Britishey Training Centre.

15. Materials and Intellectual Property

I understand that all course materials provided by Britishey Training Centre are for my personal study only.

I agree not to copy, share, distribute, sell, upload, reproduce, or use these materials for commercial purposes without written permission from Britishey Training Centre.

16. Payment, Withdrawal, and Refund Policy

I understand that course fees must be paid according to the payment terms agreed with Britishey Training Centre.

I understand that once enrolled, course fees are non-refundable, including in cases of withdrawal for personal, professional, health-related, academic, or scheduling reasons.

I understand that failure to attend, failure to submit drafts, failure to complete the final assignment, or failure to submit to Cambridge English does not entitle me to a refund.

17. Deferral Policy

A deferral may be considered only in exceptional circumstances and remains subject to Britishey Training Centre’s discretion.

Deferrals are not automatic. They may depend on the timing of the request, the candidate’s attendance, engagement, payment status, progress, tutor availability, future course availability, and any administrative or academic considerations.

If approved, the candidate may be transferred to a future DELTA Module Three Preparation Course, subject to availability and any additional conditions set by Britishey Training Centre.

18. No Guarantee of Assessment Success

I understand that Britishey Training Centre will provide preparation, guidance, input, practice, and feedback; however, my final performance in the official DELTA Module Three assessment depends on my own research, writing, critical thinking, academic integrity, assignment quality, and response to feedback.

I understand that Britishey Training Centre cannot guarantee a Pass, Merit, or Distinction in the official DELTA Module Three assessment.

Candidate Declaration

I have read and understood all the information above. I understand the nature, demands, policies, and expectations of the DELTA Module Three Preparation Course, including the guidance on academic integrity, generative AI, attendance, workload, payment, withdrawal, deferral, tutor feedback, assignment submission, and external assessment.
