Welcome to the CELTA Pre-interview Task. Please read the following guidelines carefully before you begin:
• Complete Authenticity: This task must be completed entirely by yourself. Please do not use generative AI tools, automated grammar checkers, or external translation software. We need an accurate baseline of your natural language awareness to ensure you can succeed on the course.
• Environment & Timing: Ensure you are in a quiet space free from distractions. While there is no strict countdown timer, we recommend setting aside approximately 60 to 90 minutes to complete the task thoroughly.
• Analytical Focus: When analyzing language examples, think about the "why." Focus on the meaning, form, and pronunciation of words, and consider how you would explain these concepts simply to a non-native speaker.
• Written Accuracy: Express your answers clearly, precisely, and professionally. Your written communication skills, spelling, and punctuation are being evaluated throughout this task.
• Final Submission: Double-check all of your responses before clicking submit. Once submitted, your answers are final and cannot be edited.
