Trinity ISE
Trinity ISE exam assesses English language proficiency through integrated skills tasks, focusing on real-life communication and authentic language use.
Duration
The Reading & Writing exam module takes 2 hours (all levels) and the Speaking & Listening exam takes 13-25 minutes depending on the level.

There are two exam modules — Reading & Writing and Speaking & Listening. These can be taken together or separately at Britishey Training Centre.The Reading & Writing module is taken as a written exam at Britishey Training Centre.One-to-one, face-to-face Speaking & Listening assessments can be taken in person or via live video conference at Britishey.

Trinity’s ISE qualifications provide individuals and institutions with reliable evidence of the use of integrated English language skills at different levels from beginner to advanced. They are listed on the UK’s Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and are aligned with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). Trinity’s ISE A2-C2 exams have been awarded the ALTE Q-mark by the Association of Language Testers in Europe demonstrating that they meet strictest of quality criteria.
ISE, IELTS and the CEFR
This table shows ISE’s and IELTS’ equivalence to the CEFR, based on independent studies conducted by Trinity and the IELTS consortium respectively. The levels refer to the overall test score, not sub-scores for each skill (Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking).
