“Not your average review, but a story of bafflement being dissipated.” Ever since I took up teaching, everybody seemed to have been fascinated by my language, but something in my teaching was evidently amiss. I had always carried a nagging sense of doubt that I was failing to apply the right techniques; that feeling incessantly gnawed at my mind and ate away at me.
I scoured the Earth, searching endlessly for “the right way” to teach. Until finally, I was advised by a friend to pursue a TEFL course with Britishey. I was instantly entranced by the sophistication of instruction; there, I learnt how to structure a lesson effectively through scaffolding, how to grade my language (my colleagues were awed in bemusement that I finally managed to), what to correct, when to correct it, and how to maximize students’ learning through stimulating speaking activities.
I’m infinitely indebted to Britishey for the revolutionary shift it brought to my career.
